Only the finest materials are used in my paintings.

Water color paintings are painted on 100% acid free watercolor board, and sealed with a clear acrylic varnish.

Canvas paintings are either cotton or linen with acrylic or oil paints, finished and sealed with varnishes.

Both painting styles feature quality materials and vivid colors to keep the painting looking like new for many generations to come.

Original paintings range from $ 350 and up, depending on size and content.

A portrait can be a treasure that will be in your family for generations.

A Portrait Sketch can capture the essence of a personality with a pencil drawing and a few fresh strokes of watercolor. Often taking just twenty minutes, Barbara does small portraits on site at art festivals. Over the years she has painted hundreds of people from all walks of life and from all over the world, covering the range from infants to octogenarians.

Barbara does portrait commissions from photographs painting in acrylics on canvas.

A larger, more In-depth Portrait, includes other aspects of the personality such as auras, past lives and unseen friends and is painted with many layers of color, evolving over months and including several sittings with the client.

The portrait is started with a detailed pencil sketch of the person and then painted in either watercolor or acrylics on canvas. Their own personal symbology such as their angels may emerge.

The price for a small 5x7 inch Portrait Sketch begins at $50.
8x10" is $75.

Larger portraits can range from $ 300 to $ 3,000, depending on size and content.
